Heidi Frederick - Instructor
Heidi R. Frederick joined the Ohio Christian University community in 2008 as an faculty administrator to coordinate institutional research and teach in the traditional and adult business programs. Previously, she worked at Palm Beach Atlantic University.
In her faculty role, Prof. Frederick regularly teaches courses such as Introduction to Business and Principles of Management and Leadership. In addition, she has written curricula for the courses Leadership and Ethics, Interdisciplinary Studies Foundations 1 and 2, Interdisciplinary Studies Capstone 1 and 2, and Practical Leadership Capstone. Prof. Frederick has experience in for-profit and non-profit arenas, including Tyconda Ranch, Inc., a cooperative business within the nursery and landscape industry, and the IZUMI Housing Project, a ministry organization that builds houses in developing countries. Prof. Frederick’s areas of research interests include authentic leadership theory, organizational and corporate identity orientations, and Biblical exegetical study of leadership theory and praxis.
In her administrative role, Prof. Frederick’s responsibilities include serving on the President’s Administrative Council, reporting on indicators of institutional effectiveness, implementing assessment measures, and directing accreditation efforts. She serves as the chief academic officer for the nontraditional adult division.
Prof. Frederick has presented at the Conclave for Leadership Research & Analysis, the Annual Conference for the Center for Research in Adult Learning, the Annual Meeting for the Higher Learning Commission, and the Annual Meeting of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
