Thaddeus D. Hicks, MA, joined the Ohio Christian University community in 2009 on a contractual basis charged with the development of a Disaster Management and relief program.  Once the initial design was completed Thad was brought on staff in order to coordinate the program.  Previously, Thad worked as a police officer and has also worked in various capacities with The Salvation Army.

 

In his faculty role, Prof. Hicks will teach a number of courses within the Disaster Management program including, Introduction to Disaster Management, Terrorism, Conflict Studies, The Politics of Disasters, and Natural Disasters. Thad has experience in for-profit and non-profit arenas, including having spent a number of years working for The Salvation Army where he had many opportunities to experience disasters first hand. 

 

Thad has worked and conducted trainings in several countries around the world, and has consulted international non-profits in the areas of conflict resolution & program design.
