The Study Abroad in Italy Program will include the following minimum features:

 

  1. Six hours of academic credit (two courses taught by Dr. Garrison).
  2. Six weeks of student apartments with 2 to 4 students per apartment (depends on size of apartment).
  3. Pickup at the Rome airport and transport to the American University of Rome or apartments (round-trip).
  4. On-site orientation including: surviving in Rome, where to buy your incidentals, location of shops, basic Italian communications, how to use the public transportation, etc.
  5. Two night roundtrip tour to the city of Florence including: three nights lodging and four meals, visits to: S. Maria Novella, church of Santa Croce, Uffizi Gallery (considered one of the best art galleries in Europe), Bargello, Accademia, Duomo, and Piazza della Signoria, and Palazzo Vecchio.
  6. Two night roundtrip tour to Pompeii, Sorrento, and Capri.
  7. Health Insurance.
  8. Rome city tour.
  9. Cultural visit in Rome.
  10. Classroom space for all OCU courses at the American University of Rome.
  11. Metro pass for the duration of the program - including buses and subways.
  12. Day excursion to Italian Hilltowns.
  13. Access to the ISA office and their Rome support staff.
  14. Welcome and Farewell dinners.
  15. Internet access in apartments and at the university.
  16. A cooking class.
  17. An experience of a lifetime.

 

The Study Abroad Program will not include the following:

 

  1. Transportation (airline ticket) to and from Rome. DO NOT PURCHASE AN AIRLINE TICKET UNTIL WE GIVE YOU THE WRITTEN GO AHEAD TO DO SO.
  2. Meals during your time in Italy. The apartments will have the facilities to prepare all of your meals should you choose.
  3. Passports.
  4. Cost of textbooks, which will need to be purchased and brought with you.
  5. Personal items or needs.

Ohio Christian University has agreed to provide this program at the lowest possible cost, including 6 credit hours of tuition (included in the fee stated below).

 

This is a substantial discount that will not be offered in subsequent programs. The purpose of the lower cost is because OCU wants you to be able to come back and recommend the value of program to other students.

 

The current cost for all things above in the 17 included items above is:
